Bergius Botanic Garden

Welcome to the Bergius Botanic Garden. Ideally situated at Brunnsviken, an inlet of the Baltic Sea, the garden is part of the city’s national park, protected by law to preserve natural and cultural values for the future.

The primary objective of the Bergius Botanic Garden is to support teaching and research about plant diversity, but the garden is also a recreational spot and a source of botanical knowledge for all its visitors. With a history stretching back to the 18th century, the garden is today owned and managed by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and Stockholm University.

Information about the coronavirus 2020-03-23 The Edvard Anderson Conservatory is closed until the 13th of April. One tip is to take a walk in the Bergius Botanic Garden and enjoy the spring bloom.
Signs of spring in the park 2020-03-19 You can now see the iris, crocus and scilla in the Bergius Botanic Garden. Many large buds are about to hit out as peonies and rhubarb.
Peach blossom 2020-02-04 Inside the Edvard Anderson Conservatory it is spring. It is time for peach blossom. The tree stands next to the pond in the Mediterranean Hall.
