The Bergius Botanic Garden is visited by school classes of different ages and provides an excellent opportunity for teachers to introduce botany and natural science into their day to day teaching.

School programs

A visit to the garden can be booked to include a guided tour with different themes. To book a guided tour for your class contact our Nature school "Naturens Hus" (the house of nature). They offer a series of different school programs both outside in the garden or in one of our greenhouses.

Visiting without guide

Should you plan a group visit to one of our greenhouses without using one of our guides you still need to book your visit in advance. This is to avoid any double bookings. (You don't need to book if only visiting the garden outdoors.)

Please contact Edvard Anderson Conservatory at +46 (0)8-164642 or Email infoea@bergianska.se. The price for a class is 350 SEK.
Bookings for the Victoria House, please Email bokning@bergianska.se. Please observe that The Victoria House is only open May-September. The price for a class is 225 SEK.

The conservatories opening times and other prices are under Visit us > Opening times & prices

Please remember

Please remember that the garden is a museum hosting valuable and living plant material and it is therefore strictly prohibited to pick any plants, fruits, or seeds from the garden or in the greenhouses.

As a teacher, you are always responsible for your class, also during the guided tours.

Eating your packed lunch is only allowed at dedicated picnic sites in the garden (see the garden map).

Your own picnic

You are welcome to bring your own food/picnic to the garden. This you can enjoy at dedicated rest areas indicated on the map. There is also a shelters for protection against bad weather. There is sensitive plant material in the garden and you are therfore required to use these dedicated areas for eating your own food/picnic.

Tables and chairs in the Edvard Anderson Conservatory Café are for the café guests.

Toilets

Toilets (also accessible with wheel chair) are available in The Edvard Andersons Conservatory and The Old Orangery all year round.

During the period April to October there are two more toilets open close to The Victoria House. One of them is accessible with wheel chair. The opening times for theese are:  6 a.m. to 22 p.m.
