In the two flowerbeds in front of the Old Orangery you can see plants used for dyeing and plants whose fibres are used for making textiles and paper. The dyeing plants are both well-known dyeing plants used since ancient times, but also some more unknown, like hollyhock, dahlia and carrot. Among the fibre plants you can find cotton, flax, jute, ramie and hemp.
