  • Information about the coronavirus 2020-04-01 The Edvard Anderson Conservatory is temporarily closed until further notice. One tip is to take a walk in the Bergius Botanic Garden and enjoy the spring bloom.
  • Signs of spring in the park 2020-03-19 You can now see the iris, crocus and scilla in the Bergius Botanic Garden. Many large buds are about to hit out as peonies and rhubarb.
  • Peach blossom 2020-02-04 Inside the Edvard Anderson Conservatory it is spring. It is time for peach blossom. The tree stands next to the pond in the Mediterranean Hall.
  • The Old Orangery Restaurant & Café reopens 31/1 2020-01-08 The Old Orangery Restaurant & Café is closed in January. They will open again on January 31. We recommend lunch guests to the restaurant at Naturhistoriska riksmuseet during this time.

  • Crape Myrtle in bloom 2019-08-08 The bark of Crape Myrtle peels off in large chunks. The tree is blooming in The Edvard Anderson Conservatory.
  • The tulip tree blooms in July 2019-07-01 Liriodendron tulipifera, commonly called tulip tree or yellow poplar, is blooming now. The flowers are yellow with an orange band at the base of each petal.
  • A giant Agave salmiana is about to burst into flower 2019-06-13 A giant Agave salmiana is about to burst into flower in Edvard Anderson Conservatory. The specimen is c. 30 years old and has produced an inflorescence several meters high.
