In the two flowerbeds in front of the Old Orangery you can see different methods that allow the plant colour to attach to yarn and fabric. For example, you can see Solar Dyeing. It is a method of yarn and fabric dying that uses the heat of the sun over a prolonged period of time.
In the area there are also plants whose fibres are used for making textiles and paper.
