This trees shows a general phylogeny of Rubiaceae indicating major well supported clades, subfamilies and tribes. Modified from Bremer and Eriksson, 2009. It was based on a Bayesian analysis covering 534 Rubiaceae taxa from 329 genera, and using up to four plastid DNA sequence regions. The tree shows only well supported clades, and it was collapsed to show no finer resolution than tribes.
